Rearrange your iPhone/iPod touch Apps right in iTunes

Now you can rearrange your iPhone apps and even the entire app page directly in iTunes. Just plug in your iPhone or iPod touch and select it in the Source window. Now click on the Applications tab and drag your Apps around in the order you want. You can also rearrange the pages of apps themselves by dragging them in the right side bar.

How to fix AppStore login on iPhone / iPod / iPad

I think most of you had suffered after changing the account on you iDevice (iPhone/iPod /iPad) old account pop up while updating or downloading any app.
I was very disappointed  and restore my Device and set up as new device. Today a Srilankan friend  experiencing the same so I dig out the issue and find some interesting thing, actually iTunes stores last authorized account and while sync the iDevice it push the login information to the device may be the one you don't want.

How to fix it ?
Simple
ON PC iTunes

1. Login with the old Account from Menu > Store  > Sign  in
2. Then Menu > Store  > Deauthorize This Computer
3. Then Menu > Store  > Sign out
4. Menu > Store  > Sign in with your new account
5.Then Menu > Store  > Authorize This Computer

On iDevice
1. Go to Setting > Store >
2. Tap on Sign out
3. Go to Setting > General > Reset
4. Reset Local warning, Home screen Layout and Keyboard Dictionary
5. Reboot the iDevice

Last step
1. Connect the iDevice to PC and Sync with the iTunes

How to make your own iPad micro SIM

The iPad is almost in the every where, but the micro-SIM is not.
Despite the 3G version of the iPad being sold unlocked, it requires a whole new type of SIM card, or does it? That's right, we've been trimming away the mystery of the new micro-SIM.
At first glance, the electronic contact area is no different to that of a conventional SIM, you know, the type that's small enough to fit into a tiny phone never mind the hulking iPad.

As it turns out traditional SIMs measure 15 x 25mm and have that angled corner. The new micro-SIM is officially 12 x 15mm. That's effectively the size of just the normal SIM contact area.

Apple was just wanting to be clever or it just wanted everyone to be forced to buy new SIMs, either way it's a touch annoying, but with our mighty scissors we can cut them down to size and so can you. SIMples.

How to do it:

However, AT&T's version of the micro-SIM appears to be around 13.5 x 16.5mm - enough to give the original contact area 1.1m clearance along the bottom and left edge and 1.7mm along the top and right area - so it may be worth holding off on the scissors until we get our hands on an iPad and check the correct dimensions.

There are even tools that cut a micro sim from a sim.

Dev Team releases Jailbreaking tool 3.1.5

The Dev Team has just released an update to PwnageTool. The newest version is 3.1.5 and it will work on Apple’s latest firmware update 3.1.3 however, for the moment this PwnageTool (3.1.5)  is only available for the Mac OS X.
PwnageTool 3.1.5 will allow you to create custom firmware so you will still be able to Jailbreak your iPhones while enjoying the newest 3.1.3 update.
If you plan on using the newest PwnageTool to jailbreak your 3.1.3 updated iPhone, I reccomend make sure to visit the Dev Team official site for more details before trying it out.

Jailbreaks iPhone OS 3.1.3 : blackra1n & ultrasn0w Can Still Unlock

Well folks, that didn't take long at all. We now have the ability to jailbreak and unlock the iPhone on the new OS 3.1.3 only days after it's release. We have two options for different basebands, 04.26.08 and 05.11.07.

Sn0wbreeze 3.1.3 can jailbreak iPhone 2G, 3G and iPhone 3GS (old bootrom only) on iPhone OS 3.1.3. Baseband 04.26.08 can be unlocked using Ultrasn0w. If your baseband is 05.11.07, GeoHot's blacksn0w will work just the same as it did before. (That was released last year But No unlock for the latest Baseband 05.12.01)

For those of you that have never used any of these programs, please don't try can call iKing (+8801713031130) if assistance needed. 

Note: We have tested this method on 2G 3G but 3Gs not at hand at this moment.
Be smart. Don't do this unless you absolutely have to, or if you want to test and inform others of your success/failure stores
Again, THIS IS FOR OLD BOOTROMS OF THE 3GS. If you have a newer 3GS, just stay away.

Hidden Features Of iPhone Firmware 3.1.3

As you already know Apple release iPhone firmware 3.1.3 today, but the changelog they offer is not satisfying or worthwhile at all. Pretty much they didn’t make you update in the first place. Anyway, we still manage to jailbreak it, and above all that it seems that there are some hidden features that Apple didn’t advertise.

The update also reportedly resolves an issue where third-party applications would not launch in some instances. It also addresses a bug that could cause applications to crash when using the Japanese Kana keyboard.

iPhone OS 3.1.3 also includes a number of security updates related to CoreAudio, ImageIO, Recovery Mode and WebKit. Full details are available in the support document on Apple’s Web site.

HOW TO: Put The iPhone In DFU Mode And Jailbreak, Even If Your Home Or Power Button Is Broken

As you know, to get into DFU you must press the two buttons simultaneously for 10 seconds, but some times one of the two buttons will break. An alternative to jailbreak without having to go into the DFU mode is to use Blackra1n. However, if the iPhone freezes and you need to restore the firmware to do it again, this guide will come back again very useful.

What you need:

• original Apple firmware
• BetterZip on Mac or WinZip on Windows (or something similar, your choice)

How to do it:

1. Create a copy of the original apple firmware and change the file extension from .ipsw to .zip

2. Unpack the .zip file to view its content. Navigate to Firmware > all_flash

3. Inside you will get two folders ( all_flash.m68ap.production and all_flash.n82ap.production ) and both of them will contain various files. The ones you are interested in are:

• LLB.m ** ap.RELEASE.img3
• applelogo.xxx.img3

NOTE: asterisks stands for 68 or 82 – depending on the folder. “xxx” is a different number for each device.

4. Delete the LLB.m ** ap.RELEASE.img3 file in both folders and rename the applelogo.xxx.img3 file to LLB.m ** ap.RELEASE.img3

5. Save everything and rename the file back from .zip to .ipsw

6. Connect your iPhone or iPod Touch to your computer, open iTunes and click the “Restore” button while holding down the Alt key if you’re using Mac (Shift key if you’re on Windovs).Now browsed for the modified .ipsw and restore your device with it.When iTune is done restoring your device with the custom firmware, your iPhone/iTouch will load directly into the DFU mode and now you can restore with a custom jailbreake firmware.

So basically what you are doing here is, making LLB  (which is not there) invalidate iBoot which causes it to go into a DFU loop. (thx iH8sn0w for your input)

Todo+Cal+Sync is an advanced todo and calendar management application specifically designed for the iPhone. Just swipe left+right to switch between todo, month, day and list views.
It offers a simple visual interface to quickly access and organize multiple calendars, large lists of ideas, projects and things to do, while offering the full power of both hierarchically structured or free form categories/tags.
Complex tasks can be split up into subtasks (and further sub-sub tasks if needed) while monitoring overall completion status in the main todo entry.
